During my work on other pieces, it occurred to me that, if Gatsby had existed in real life, people would have begun to notice.  The fact that nobody knew who exactly Gatsby was or where exactly he came from and yet everybody was perfectly willing to use him as a source of excitement every weekend would have sparked an interest at least among the press.  In the article, I assume the role of an investigative journalist attempting to uncover the truth about Gatsby, but arriving at it just in time for Gatsby's death.  Through the course of my research into Gatsby's life, I had learned that his very mystery led people to marvel at him, in a similar way to how Gatsby idolized Daisy because of her distance from him.  Because of Gatsby's similarities to Daisy in this sense, I alluded to the line in Gatsby where Nick is describing how Gatsby has lost one of his enchanted objects now that he has been reunited with Daisy.
Mostly, I utilized Chapter VI to gather my information for this article.  However, I referenced Chapter V in my "enchanted objects" quote.
